Youth Meeting

The majority of youngsters living in the colonies do not have leprosy and yet they suffer the same discrimination that is meted out to their parents who have had leprosy. As a result most of them have not been able to go to good schools and tend to go in for traditional professions such as nursing and manual work.

In order to empower the youth to identify and develop their dreams and own their future, Sasakawa-India Leprosy Foundation organizes youth meetings. These gathering are aimed at encouraging youngsters\to discuss their problems and their aspirations and to provide guidance on how they can work towards achieving their goals.
